What better discovery to have during an activity than "YOU"!! I started this group because hiking in remote areas brings focus to the way we experience our beautiful world and ourselves. But don't cancel your gym membership -- we are going to need it so we can hike a little farther and give ourselves a better reason to stay healthy and fit.

This group is for families with children at Columbia Elementary School in Annandale, VA., who are interested in hiking their kids to/from school. Typically, we start at 8:30 AM at Mason District Park, have time to check out the pond and playground, and hike just over a mile to Columbia to be there around 9-ish. Its a great way for kids to start the day! There are no set days. If the weather is nice, there is a good chance that there will be a hike.

So this group is for people in the same situation who are interested in going out on weekdays or nights. Activities I'd like to do are hiking, museums, movies, mini golf, historical walks, amusement parks.
