Adventuring is the outdoor club for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered community in the Washington DC area. Our volunteers lead hikes year-round, and in the warmer months we do recreational bike rides too, some shorter and others longer. That's not everything though. This group is for families with children at Columbia Elementary School in Annandale, VA., who are interested in hiking their kids to/from school. Typically, we start at 8:30 AM at Mason District Park, have time to check out the pond and playground, and hike just over a mile to Columbia to be there around 9-ish. Its a great way for kids to start the day! There are no set days. If the weather is nice, there is a good chance that there will be a hike.
