Welcome to West County Singles on Meet-Up dot com, a mature group of singles (50's+) who wish to enjoy diverse, fun and interesting activities. With this web-based format we can plan and post events in just a few days rather than weeks as it was in the "good old days" of paper flyers. I have a sweet German Shepherd puppy who just turned 1. She is full of energy and loves to play with and learn from other dogs. I noticed that different types of dogs play differently and thought that it would be nice for her to play with other shepherds. Plus, I would like to meet other owners that might have pointers or tips on raising a happy, smart and well behaved shepherd dog. Please, only friendly dogs and owners should join.

This group is for people who want to bring their dogs along when they hike, instead of leaving their best friends at home alone. The pace of our hikes is more relaxed, and trails reasonably easy. Just a bunch of people who love their pooches, out for a walk in the park. We walk at a reasonably brisk pace  &  cover about 3 MPH.  "Stop-n-Plays" at lakes and creeks  &  "Puddle Stops" are common in this group.  However, when we're not goofing off, we move fairly quickly.
